Buzz Words
These days, losing your computer is like being kicked in the face back to the dark ages. Some goblin-electric found its way through the nihon underwires, through the paper walls, shot through the protector of surges, and gobbled my motherboard. Without that sweet electromagnetism of internet and processors to hold me together, my parts float around the apartment, pink intestines snaking loopy patterns across the wall.
Until I find a new spine for my laptop, I must wander the Japanese coastline searching for my plug-in fix. On my journey, perhaps I’ll rediscover the computer-age neglected senses: the nostalgic burn of skinned knees, the smell of pine and sewage, the wrinkles that come from laughter, and the taste of grit that makes up the real world.
On second thought, computers be damned.
